drying yeast for eating

by steve@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (chezztone) Apr 20, 2004 at 01:58 PM

I've seen discussion of re-using yeast slurry for brewing another
batch. But what about drying it for nutritional purposes? I buy
brewer's yeast (dead and dried) to eat, it's a health-food thing (lots
of B-vitamins and some amino acids). But it's quite expensive, and it
seems silly to buy it when I'm throwing away a quart of yeast after
brewing. Anyone have experience or advice on how to dry it? Thanks.
