Adding more hops

I am trying a new recipe that requires I add extra hops after fermentation.

I was thinking that I should rack the beer into a secondary fermenter and 
add the extra hops at the same time.

Does that sound right?

Also how much longer after adding the hops should I let the beer sit
before 
bottling.  Finally, should I filter out all the hops and yeast sediment 
before bottling?
