The one about stale coffee. I was in Sam's Club this morning picking
up supplies and went by the coffee aisle. Since it was early morning
and nobody was around I poked around to see what was on the shelves.
Rio Grande roasters and Olive Branch, both of which are New Mexico
roasters. The "best if used by" dates were........one year. I don't
recall which one I squeezed, but it was ground. One-way valves on the
bag, but jeeze. I know all about working with Sam's, etc. and how
awful they are to their vendors and so forth. But ground coffee with a
year use-by date? I guess it really is buyer beware.
